Ancylostoma caninum (dog hookworm) eggs - unstained in dog faecal sample - saline preparation. Eggs (64 x 40 microns) a little longer but similar to A.duodenale. A caninum adults are found in the intestine of dogs and rarely one worm only has been found in the intestine of humans especially in North Queensland where it has caused eosinophilic enteritis. More commonly, the larvae cause cutaneous larva migrans or creeping eruption in the skin of humans.
